Who It Is For
USDA loans are for buyers with moderate income who want to live outside the main urban areas. Both the home location and your household income have to fit the program.
- Buyers looking at homes in eligible rural areas of Florida
- Households with moderate income within program limits
- Buyers with limited savings for a down payment
- Buyers who will live in the home as their primary residence
How It Works
USDA loans are backed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture to encourage homeownership outside major cities. The property has to sit in an eligible area, and household income has to fall within the program limits for the county.
Before you fall in love with a house, we can check whether the address is in an eligible area. That one step saves a lot of disappointment.
Your file is processed in house at our office on Del Prado Blvd. You will know who is handling it and how to reach them.

Common Questions
Is any part of Southwest Florida eligible for USDA?
Some areas outside the city centers can be eligible, while most of the built-up areas are not. Eligibility maps change from time to time. Send us the address and we will check it for you.
Do I have to be a farmer to get a USDA loan?
No. The program is run by the Department of Agriculture, but it is a home loan for regular buyers. You just need an eligible property and household income within the limits.
Does household income include people who are not on the loan?
USDA looks at income for the whole household when checking program limits, not only the borrowers. We will go through who counts so you know before applying.
